And here we are back on a Friday and it’s National Coffee Day! Are you a coffee drinker?
I love coffee but limit myself to just 2 cups a day. I drink a small cup at 6 AM before I workout while I am packing school lunches and then my reward after my workout and shower is a nice big cup of coffee! It’s such a welcome treat and helps set the tone for my day.
I am at home coffee drinker. I will hit up Starbucks if I am traveling and it’s always fun to meet a friend for coffee on the weekend but I typically make my coffee at home. I love the speed of the Kruig and since it’s just me drinking it during the week it makes it easier than worry about brewing too much or even cleaning a pot.
We also have a Nespresso machine which I call my “fancy” coffee. It makes great coffee and is fun on the weekends when I may even foam the milk but for every day, I still go for my Starbuck’s K-Cup.
So let’s talk about favorites for the week. And I invite you to share your favorite things as well in the comment sections. Happy Friday and let’s get this party started.
Califia Almond Milk Creamer
In honor of National Coffee Day, I will start with this one. If you are using regular creamer in your coffee, get rid of it, there is nothing healthy or good about them and try this. Nothing artificial, no hydrogenated oils just almond and coconut cream that is smooth and creamy. 20 calories per serving and such a treat for your coffee! I have found this at Ralph’s and Whole Food.
Gray Denim
I blogged about these jeans earlier this week (click here to read more) but if you didn’t read it . . . these are my new and very fun jeans! They are full of stretch so super comfortable, they fit great, and I actually think the holes at the knees is what makes them so fun. And you can’t beat the price at under $40.00!!
I love them with a big comfy t-shirt and sneakers or today I have them on with a denim shirt and my van slip-ons. Colored denim is a nice change up!

Lincoln Park after dark by opi
Another great nail color for the fall, Lincoln Park After Dark! I got a mani/pedi yesterday and I happily went back to dark for the fall! The is a very deep purple bordering on a black and it’s one of my all time favorites for the fall and winter.
sleepy time tea
Some nights I struggle to fall asleep. I find I am tried but just can’t turn off the thoughts running through my head. Often I a cup of herbal tea and reading a few pages of a book can help.
I decided to order Sleepytime Tea from Amazon . . . the name alone was enough for me to give it a try. It’s a mixture of soothing herbs including chamomile, spearmint, and lemongrass and it really is a great way to wind down the day.
Does it put me to sleep? Well, I’m not sure about that but I felt calm and peaceful as I sipped it and it sure has been a nice way to end my day!
Brown Booties
Yeah, it’s back to booties! We are still having some warm weather out here in Southern California but our nights are cooler so it’s bye, bye to sandals and hello to booties. I bought these ones last year at Nordstrom Rack and I wear them with everything – leggings, jeans, and even casual dresses. I am all about neutral colors and find I wear the tan/browns way more than black.
Here are some great booties that I love:
BONUS, favorites of the week:
skinnygirl popcorn
This one came from my niece and I completely endorse and agree with her find! She’s a new mom and all about finding healthy, low-calorie snack options.
This is an easy snack to become obsessed with and the good news is it’s guilty free at 25 calories a cup! I love the mini bag option . . . that will keep you from doing too much damage!
