Great music playing through my earbuds, the coolness of the early morning and the view of the ocean all added up to one of the best runs I have had in a long time! We all need some happiness right now, I recommend getting out and moving this weekend and release those endorphins! I am always pleasantly surprised at how happy I feel after a good workout!
Anything fun you have planned for this weekend? I am going to game 1 of the LA Dodger playoff series tonight! This was on my fall bucket list so I can happily check that off! I have been slowly checking off some of the items I listed but I need to get moving on my list.
I love ending the week with Friday Favorites, so let’s get this started! And remember I would love to hear what you have been loving this week in the comment section below.
A what you ask?
That’s what I asked as well when my nieces couldn’t stop raving about this thing called a Scrubee one night when we were all together at dinner. By the time dinner was over I knew what I was going home to order!
A Scrubee is this amazing little bee from Lush that actually exfoliates and moisturizes your skin in the shower!! The smell alone will blow you away! You use it in the shower . . . it’s the final thing you do and it leaves your skin newborn ready!!! I have dry skin and this product does the job and the best part is not having to apply lotion after showering.
Lightweight Long Cardigan Sweater
I love the elegant feel of a long cardigan! I have 2 linen blend cardigans that were perfect for the summer and I have a couple of chunky cardigans which are great in the cold weather but what about that in-between?!
I found the perfect solution for the fall! This rib-knit cardigan by BP is lightweight and features a long, open-front silhouette that looks great layered over just about anything. I went with black but it is also available in a gray and a mustard color. I will be wearing this a ton this year!

Crockpot Pumpkin Butter
I saw this recipe on another blog and I knew immediately I had to try it! It is such an easy recipe, you add everything in a crockpot and let it cook for 2-3 hours! Fall has arrived!!!
I could eat it by the spoonful (which I have done) but I love spreading it on toasted whole grain bread and my kids have spread it on toasted bagels. It’s been suggested to put a spoonful in my coffee . . . I’ll keep you posted on that one.
I am going to bake homemade bread this weekend and I am already salivating about how good that will taste with this pumpkin butter.
- 1 Can of Pumpkin Puree
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Put all ingredients in a crockpot. Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours. Stir every hour. Keep stored in fridge. Enjoy!
Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Tabbouleh AND Trader Joe’s Cornbread Crisps
I always find new interesting things to try at Trader Joe’s!!
This is a twist on the traditional tabbouleh and it’s grain free! All I can say is it’s delicious!!
And one more new find and so amazing it’s actually hard to stop eating . . . Cornbread Crisps. I served these with leftover chili and then found myself dipping them into the pumpkin butter (recipe above).
Both these items were gone within 2 days! Good thing Trader Joe’s is close by!
DW Natural candles
Candles can set the mood of a room – warm, comforting and relaxing. They provide a pop of color and scented candles add a wonderful fragrance to your home. I love these ones because they mix in essential oils so the scent is not overpowering. And the wooden lids are so pretty!
Both of these scents are clean and fresh! You can find them on Amazon, click here and there are a variety of other scents available.
So that’s it for the week. Make sure you add laughter and love into your weekend . . . two things we all need more of in this crazy world we live. And share something you love in the comments section. I’d love to hear from you!
