Woohoo, it’s the end of the week. The workers will finish up redoing the ceiling in our family room and kitchen today after a little flood last weekend. I started my day with an early morning run down to the beach. I didn’t have to pack lunches because it’s Friday and I never do on a Friday. My husband gets home tonight after being away for a couple of nights so we get to celebrate our 21st anniversary this weekend and I am driving down to see my college girl for a late breakfast and visit! So heck, it’s already a great start to the weekend!
So let’s get right to it and reflect on the happy parts of the week with Friday Favorites!
Drybar detox dry shampoo
Dry Shampoo is a girl’s best friend! And I believe the founder of Dry Bar, Alli Webb is a genius because what girl doesn’t like to get her hair blown out . . . that is truly one of my favorite things! But keeping it fresh and clean longer is key and that’s where dry shampoo is a lifesaver and time saver!
I’ve tried lots of dry shampoos and my favorite is Detox Dry Shampoo by Drybar.
It doesn’t make my hair sticky, it smells great, and it lets me extend my blowouts by 2-3 days depending on how much I sweat during my workouts. I typically buy the travel size so I can always through it in my carry on and not worry.
Paleo Pumpkin Cake
Well it is the pumpkin season and I have shared my favorite pumpkin bread recipe, and crockpot pumpkin butter so this week it’s Paleo Pumpkin cake. I don’t eat Paleo but I do try to watch my carbs. I found this recipe last fall and it most reminds me of bread pudding. I love it as a quick no guilt dessert with a few mini chocolate chips on top or I’ve been known to make it for breakfast and top with coffee. This with coffee, it’s a little bit of perfection!
- 1/2 can of pumpkin puree (or 1 green container)
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp raw maple syrup or stevia
- 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
Mix everything in a bowl and spray a ramekin or microwave safe dish with coconut nonstick spray and microwave for 5 minutes. Be careful, it’s hot coming out of the microwave. Let cool a few minutes before eating. ENJOY!
Leggings that are pants!! Moto leggings have texture to them – lines, stitching, and panels. So they aren’t your average legging – think of them as a bonus legging! From the minute I tried these moto leggings on I was sold . . . I can simply wear them with a t-shirt, sneakers and jean jacket or utility jacket or I can dress them up with a blazer or leather jacket and boots. They also come in an olive green!

The LA Dodgers
Without a doubt, the LA Dodgers are one of my favorites and round 2 of the playoffs start this weekend. There is an energy, and excitement when your team is doing well and oh how I love how a sports team can pull a city together. This is when baseball gets exciting and I will be a nervous fan as I watch the games. Go Dodgers!
Yup, it’s one of my favorites! I’ve watched every season though after they killed off McDreamy I wasn’t so sure I could continue! This is one show I happily watch on my own and already 3 episodes in this season I am once again hooked!
We all have our secret favorite show we’ve watched forever . . . leave your favorite series in the comments section.
So that’s a wrap for the week. Enjoy your weekend and please share a favorite of yours in the comments section . . . I love finding and trying new things!
