I saw this recipe on another blog and I knew immediately I had to try it! It is such an easy recipe, you add everything in a crockpot and let it cook for 2-3 hours! Fall has arrived!!!
I could eat it by the spoonful (which I have done) but I love spreading it on toasted whole grain bread and my kids have spread it on toasted bagels. It’s been suggested to put a spoonful in my coffee . . . I’ll keep you posted on that one.
I am going to bake homemade bread this weekend and I am already salivating about how good that will taste with this pumpkin butter.
- 1 Can of Pumpkin Puree
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Put all ingredients in a crockpot. Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours. Stir every hour. Keep stored in fridge. Enjoy!
