Without a doubt, my air fryer has become the most used kitchen appliance in my kitchen! It is a game changer in how I cook especially how I cook vegetables. The air fryer allows you to get crispy food with little oil, it pre-heats so much quicker than an oven and it cooks food quicker, too! Super easy cleanup and awesome for healthier eating.
The other day I stood in front of my pantry craving a crunchy, salty snack. My pantry is pretty clean so there wasn’t really anything to really satisfy my craving besides some goldfish which weren’t even a viable option 😉 I noticed a couple of cans of chickpeas/garbanzo beans – I have always loved the concept of crispy roasted chickpeas but never they never quite turned out as perfectly as I had hoped in the oven. The air fryer became the answer – crispy crunchy chickpeas and a healthy satisfying salty crunchy snack!
In 15 minutes I had perfect Crispy Crunchy Chickpeas!
- Drain and rinse a can of chickpeas
- Toss with olive oil and seasoning . . . I used sea salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Cook at 390°F for 12-18 minutes, shaking them a few times during the cooking process
I love them as a quick snack but they also make a great salad or bowl topper.
